Hope is all well and good, I suppose. It’s just one step above a wish. Hoping for something doesn’t necessarily make it happen. The attitude that hope brings can be the stimulus that comes from within and actually helps make the change that the hope is geared toward. Or, it can just be for the purpose of comfort. Hoping for a terminal patient doesn’t help them get better, it just helps you deal with the situation better. Hoping for a better life is more feasible. You do, however, have to put the effort in. Hoping, and then doing nothing to help the situation along doesn’t really accomplish anything.
